Dr. Pedro Patrón Sansor
Dr. Pedro Patrón Sansor graduates in General Medicine from the prestigious University of Yucatan in 1988. In 1990 he begins his Residency in Urology at the Adolfo López Mateos Hospital, which belongs to the Institute of Security and Social Services for the State Employees (ISSSTE) in Mexico City. Upon ending his Residency, he transfers to Campeche to take the position of Vice-director of the ISSSTE Hospital in the State.
Soon after his arrival to Quintana Roo in 1998, he begins working as a Urologist in the General Hospital of the City of Cancun. After a successful period of 4 years, he then founds the Urological and Hormone Replacement Center of the Caribbean, dedicating all his effort, time and energy to the improvement and well being of his patients in his private practice.
Dr. Pedro Patron has participated in over 1000 HIFU treatments. He has been part of the development of this technology which makes him a National Leader in Mexico, with the experience and knowledge of HIFU cancer treatment.
The Mexican Society of Urology honors him with the position of Spokesperson of the South in several occasions, mainly due to his deep experience in his Specialty and his efforts to incorporate the latest technological advances to his practice. In 2008 and 2011 he is invited to be a member of the Organizing Committee for the National Congress of Urology and, in 2012, receives the tremendous honor to be the spokesperson for the Mexican Council of Urology.
Keeping up with his vision and dedication to remain updated in his field, he becomes an active member in several leading institutions, such as the American Urological Association, the American Confederacy of Urology, the Latin-American Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Patrón Sansor has participated as a speaker in several Congresses, in both national and international arenas. His publications include titles referring to Fracture of the Penis, Cancer in the Scrotum, and Molecular Biology Tests to diagnose the Human Papilloma Virus, among others.
Besides having one of the most technologically advanced clinics in the entire Mexican territory, Dr. Patrón cooperated in the founding of a new and advanced Integral Urology unit at the Amerimed Hospital, in the city of Cancun. This unit has quickly become a model to imitate, even by renowned colleagues in the Mexican Urology field.
